System Upgrade Notice - Oct 3, 2005

Please note that ImageDirector's Lightbox and Albums are undergoing a system upgrade where many of the features discussed below will be amalgomated, upgraded, or replaced. When reviewing the following material please keep in mind that any feature discussed may become depricated within the next few months. At that time please return to this help file to review the new changes to the system, or contact our support staff if you have any questions of concerns. No loss of data will result from this upgrade.

My Lightbox

Every user has their own lightbox.

Use the lightbox as a shopping cart for assets you want to download or process as a group. Place single or multiple files into the lightbox from categories or search results. The Lightbox is a grouping of files any changes you make here will be automatically updated in the assets data in their original categories.

When files are in your lightbox, you have the ability to process them as a group. Think of the lightbox as a temporary view - when in the lightbox the image is still linked to the category or categories it belongs to.

The Lightbox Toolbar

Remove All from Lightbox
Remove all from lightbox

Click on this icon to remove all the images and files from the Lightbox.

Add to Album
Albums: Add or remove all images

Roll over the album icon and select the appropriate check box(es) to add or remove ALL FILES across all pages of the lightbox to an album or multiple albums. The drop down menu also allows you to create a new album, simply type in the new album name in the field and click the save icon. The new album will be created and ALL files from the lightbox will be added to it in one step.

Delete All
Delete All

Click on this icon to move all images in the lightbox to the Recycle Bin. A deleted image can then be permanently erased or restored into a category from the Recycle Bin.

Download
Download all

Click on this icon to download all files in the lightbox. A download all confirmation screen will be displayed listing all the files chosen.

When multiple files are selected for download, ImageDirector™ places all files into one zip file (*.zip) for a quick and easy download to your hard drive. For more information on downloading files see: File Formats available for download.

Make a CD with all lightbox images
Make CD
Make a cd with all lightbox images. Click on this icon to display a screen listing the images selected and the total cost. You will also be asked for your mailing information and to choose a mail procedure. (Ordinary postal mail, Express mail, Overnight courier)

Sort by: You can sort your images by various options, including category, alphabetical, reverse alphabetical, date and size.

Images per page: You can set the number of images per page which will displayed. You can choose among 5 x 2 /page, 7 x 2 /page, or 7 x 7 /page for small Thumbnail views, 3x5 or 3x10 for a larger Internet view or a list view.

Browse forward through pages in the lightbox, or use the drop-down menu to select a specific page.

Refresh
Refresh

Refreshes the current page.

Help
Help

The help icon will display helpful tips and suggestions.

The Lightbox Thumbnail

Thumbnails have functions that can be performed individually to each image.

Remove from lightbox: Remove image from lightbox.

Edit: Opens Edit Image Data Screen.

Add to Album: Roll over the album icon and select the appropriate check box(es) to add or remove this image to/from an album or multiple albums.

Download: Roll over this icon to reveal the drop down menu. Click on the appropriate check box(es) to select the file size(s) you wish to download and then click the download icon. For more information on downloading files see: File Formats available for download.
